Valentine's Day Favorites: Vintage Bombshell

We all know that shopping for vintage lingerie for your partner can be daunting, but we're here to help. First things first...it's vitally important to know your partner's measurements, because vintage sizes just don't hold true to modern sizes.  In a nut shell...vintage sizes are considerably smaller than today's sizes.  So...if you don't want to come right out and ask, or even better, take, your partner's measurements, the next best thing (and most stealth!) is to measure one of their intimate garments.

You'll need a tape measure or a string that you can measure against a yard stick or ruler.  Then simply measure from the same points on your partner's garment, as the seller of the vintage piece of lingerie says their measurements are taken from.  And if they aren't very specific...email them asking them where, exactly, are they taking their measurements from.   You shouldn't have that problem with our sellers here, who belong to the Vintage Lingerie Sellers Sales Team, but occasionally we may be unclear about a measurement and it's always better to be safe than sorry, as many items are non-refundable.

With this in mind, I'll be making a few favorite picks every day in time for Valentine's Day, in a variety of sizes, highlighting certain themes or styles.  Today's theme is Vintage Bombshell and here are my favorites:

Boy...that was fun!   I'll be back with more later...  Until then,
XO

  1. The trouble is, my friend, is that I end up wanting to buy all that I pick. Good thing it doesn't all fit me. Do you have any Valentine's Day favorites of the bombshell persuasion?

PS The cami is actually a short nightgown...all the better. (:

  2. Oh my goodness -- what wonderful choices! I really appreciate your putting our vintage Adonna gown in the mix. It is such a pretty gown, with those gold-on-black accents on the lace! Thanks so much. I love everything you selected, and think there would be some very happy ladies out there if their "shoppers" take your suggestions!
